Backman Creek Hideaway is a cozy one-bedroom retreat tucked into the forest along Backman Creek.
Inside, you'll find a private bedroom with a queen bed, a full kitchen, small dining table for four, gas fireplace, Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi. The living room sofa converts to an additional sleeping area, making the cabin ideal for two adults plus a child. A Pack ’n Play is also provided.
The spacious bathroom features a large walk-in shower plus a washer and dryer.
Outside is the highlight: soak in the private hot tub, warm up in the barrel sauna with a woods view, or relax in the covered outdoor living area around the firepit. A little wooden boardwalk winds through the ferns and trees to the Backman Creek overlook. Backman creek empties just downstream 200 meters into the Sauk River. Truly a magical fiord.
It’s a small cabin with a surprisingly complete setup—and a great home base for exploring Darrington, The North Cascades National Park, the Sauk River and the surrounding mountains of the Mountain Loop Highway.

We really loved staying at the Backman Creek Cabin! The cabin is even better in person than in pictures, and it had all the amenities that we could ever want and more. Very cutely decorated, and great options with the TV and games. We loved going into the sauna and the jacuzzi, and the whole house felt so new and clean. Also great hiking areas near the cabin, so that was a lot of fun as well. The area is beautiful, and the indoor fireplace was such a nice touch. We also spent a lot of time outside next to the fire as well.

Such a great stay! This place was the perfect relaxing getaway from the city. I spent my time between the sauna and the hot tub, and sat down by the creek with a book. Everything about it is thoughtfully designed, and the architecture is beautiful. The kitchen had everything I could have wanted, so I cooked myself a great dinner and never felt like I was missing anything. I can't wait to come back, and I'll definitely be checking out Northwest Pad's other properties too. Highly recommend!

I loved my stay. It’s been the best Airbnb I’ve booked. Everything was good quality and clean. The amenities were great. I wish I would have had time to use the sauna. The water does have a smell to it, but it wasn’t overwhelming

This is our second time booking with Northwestpads and it definitely won’t be our last! The area is secluded and so peaceful! The hot tub was a bonus after a long day of hiking. The hosts are always responsive within a timely manner. We loved this stay and we will definitely book again if we are in the area! 🙂
