The property was beautiful and surrounded by mountains and lots of trees, which made the setting feel peaceful and scenic. We even saw deer nearby, which was a really nice bonus. The Airbnb itself was very clean and well stocked, with lots of utensils and cooking appliances in the kitchen. The beds were large and comfortable, and extra blankets were provided. One thing future guests should be aware of: both the floor plan and listing photos show a small bedroom on the bottom floor with a bed and a dog bed in front of it. We booked the property believing this room would be available for use, but when we arrived, the door was locked and the hosts were not able to provide access. The listing is technically accurate in describing the property as a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home, but we felt the photo and floor plan were misleading. It would be helpful if that room were either removed from the listing photos or clearly marked as unavailable so future guests know before booking.

Highly recommend! We had a great stay. Very peaceful. The house was spotless, well-appointed and felt like a “home away from home”. The check-in process was easy and Northwestpads was very responsive answering any questions we had. We look forward to staying at the Fernwood Retreat again.

Had a great stay here for our day trips to North Cascades and Mount Baker. House was very clean and we enjoyed mornings and evenings on the private backyard deck and hot tub. Nearby lake views were beautiful and the Bellingham restaurants and grocery options were an easy 15 minute drive.

Beautiful house in a peaceful setting. We even saw several deer wandering around the neighborhood. The house itself was spotless and probably the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. There was a minor issue during our stay caused by the previous guest, but the host was proactive, notified us before our arrival, and offered several options to accommodate us for the inconvenience. Their response made the entire situation a non-issue. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Beautiful home with beautiful surroundings, even saw a deer eating in the backyard, it was so peaceful and beautiful. It was a perfect place to spend the weekend to go to a graduation at Western Washington University. We especially loved having dinner at Tino‘s very good food and wonderful service and staff. I would love to reserve again and spend more time at the lake and surrounding areas.
