This is a beautiful A-Frame cabin that is close enough to the main road to be a great base camp for hiking but still tucked into the trees to still feel private and secluded. There's also a lovely walking path that leads to the river, but plenty of other little access points further along the road provide river access as well! The host were also friendly and responsive anytime I reached out. 10/10 Would stay again!
Our little piece of Heaven! This A Frame cabin is a must for anyone, a couple or a family! It sets back off the road a ways, amongst the trees. The location is perfect! It had all the comforts of home, 2 bedroom a beautiful bathroom and a full kitchen. We were there on our honeymoon and found it to be peaceful and relaxing. A memorable way to spend the start of our journey together! I am so glad that we chose to stay at The Retro!
The property has its own long, private driveway, which I personally really loved. The house is clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s awesome that there are outdoor string lights and a hot tub. Even though it was raining outside, it didn’t stop us from enjoying the warm water and the back massage jets. Other reviews mentioned you need to bring your own firewood, but when I arrived, there was plenty of wood available, and there was even an axe provided if you needed to chop more. Highly recommend this place, 5/5! To anyone saying it’s close to the road and noisy: I assure you it was very comfortable and we couldn’t hear any traffic. We have a 2-month-old baby who is very sensitive to noise, and she slept perfectly, so everything there is great!
The host was responsive for all our queries. Also house has a good hot tub plus a fireplace perfect for a chill weekend. This place is an easy recommendation
Perfect cabin for our needs wifi would not connect to tv which was a little bit of a bummer.
Everything was amazing! The house was beautiful and located in such a lovely area. The hot jacuzzi was absolutely wonderful — exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place!
